Crown Holdings (Crown) and Ardagh Metal Packaging (AMP), two world-renowned aluminium beverage can manufacturers, have collaborated to finance a new grant for can-capture technology at two different material recovery facilities (MRF) in San Jose and Elkhart. This installation is expected to gather around 20 million old aluminium cans annually. On March 31, 2023, Gränges announced the formation of a joint venture with Shandong Innovation Group (SIG) to build a recycling and casting factory in the hydroelectricity-rich Chinese province of Yunnan. Lancaster City Council is launching a new coffee pod recycling scheme in collaboration with Podback to assist citizens in recycling old coffee pods. Thanks to the #InTheLoop grant money, Ipswich Borough Council has put eight additional bins for recycling aluminium cans and plastic bottles in the Ipswich Town Centre.

The can-collecting campaign organised by Vigo County CASA has surpassed initial projections, resulting in an overwhelming number of aluminium cans collected.
